I’ve been taking pictures since high school. Studied filmmaking at Emerson College, which taught me more about how to see than how to shoot — composition, light, the moment before the moment.
I grew up moving between Japan and Brazil, which probably explains why I’ve always been comfortable being the outsider with a camera. I’ve shot in over 90 countries, and the work you see here reflects that — looking for the real version of a place or a person, not the posed one.
